Background
The rapid expansion of wireless wearable devices and the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) have created tremendous opportunities for Antenova—a leading manufacturer of high-performance standard antenna components and RF modules for wireless devices (machine-to-machine), IoT, and consumer electronics. To improve operational efficiency, the executive team made a strategic decision to invest in an ERP system that would unify enterprise information. The system was selected to support Antenova’s multinational operations while providing management with comprehensive business intelligence (BI) insights. With its intuitive design and ease of use, Acumatica has proven to be a highly valuable investment for the company. For many years, Antenova relied on two separate systems: Sage50 for financial management and Orderwise for purchase orders, sales, and warehouse operations. As digitalization progressed, these disconnected systems could not share data, forcing teams to manually re-enter information and creating major inefficiencies in data maintenance. In addition, the team needed to construct analytical logic in MS Excel to generate the necessary reports and insights. As the fast-growing IoT market continued to open new business opportunities, Antenova recognized the importance of refreshing its website content and digital marketing tools to stay ahead. This realization highlighted the need to migrate to a cloud-based ERP platform—one that would empower the company to scale its operations efficiently and meet the demands of digital transformation.
Solution
To address its operational and financial requirements, Antenova developed a detailed list of functional needs and partnered with Lumina Tech to evaluate potential solutions. Employees across different regions can access financial and warehouse systems in real time—instantly viewing sales, backorders, inventory, and other critical information without delay. “When people in different time zones need information, they simply log into the system without having to wait for a response the next day,” said Ms. Lin. “And when Taiwan is on holiday, other offices can still access the system directly without depending on Taiwan-based staff to retrieve the information they or their customers require.” Real-time information access is essential to customer satisfaction. Unlike legacy systems that required manual data reconciliation to produce complete financial reports, executives can now instantly view the company’s current financial position through Acumatica. This greatly reduces the risk of manual errors and significantly improves overall operational efficiency. The management team can also monitor key performance indicators and generate detailed reports for deeper analysis of business operations—tasks that were once complex and time-intensive. With Acumatica, this information is available 24/7 at the click of a button. “This integrated system has eliminated much of the redundant work within the company, saving valuable time and easing the burden of financial and ISO audits,” Ms. Lin explained. To track sales performance and potential leads, Antenova uses SugarCRM, which is integrated with Acumatica through API technology. API interfaces within Acumatica enable real-time transmission of sales forecast data from SugarCRM to Acumatica’s MRP module for seamless data consolidation. “Acumatica has made our financial operations far more efficient,” Ms. Lin concluded. “It provides an integrated platform that delivers accurate sales and revenue insights along with comprehensive financial reports—helping the company establish a stronger foothold in the digital era and accelerate its growth.”
